We captured Lucy & Matt’s amazing day just over 2 years ago on 24th May 2009 at 12.00 noon precise, their chosen location was the stunning Davenport Green Hall in Hale Barns, Cheshire. Lucy wore a bespoke gown that showed off her stunning figure and Matt looked really handsome in his ivory tie and waistcoat, they complemented each other just perfectly!Lucy’s girls were great fun to photograph and I have to say that there were some very lucky fellas there that day 🙂I just had to add this piccie to my post as Lucy told me it was her favourite from the whole day… so full of genuine emotion!Matt being in the fruit and vegetable trade meant that their theme was very apt so much so that when we arranged our baby bump shoot I asked them to bring along some of these lovely green apples to keep the continuity straight through the whole process and who knows maybe even into little baby ‘Barton’s’ first photo shoot!Lucy looked every inch a Princess on her wedding day! They had thought of everything for their guests enjoyment, even a full size merry- go -round.2 years later and on their anniversary…It was so lovely seeing them both again, they arrived loaded with all the things I had asked and suggested to them to, in fact it looked like they were moving in lol!
Lucy holding two of their first scans, I find these fascinating!I had asked Lucy to bring very simple clothing with them and to also make sure that she wore no waistbands or bras straps for at least a couple of hours before they were due to arrive. If you have ever worn knee high socks you will understand the reason for this beacuse even after you have taken them off it stills looks like you are wearing them lol!
They look so perfect together!I took this piccie for Lucy cos if you’ve got it I say ‘flaunt it’ ha ha Hope you like it 🙂
Matt has what is called a ‘Lucky Eye’ which is a two coloured left eye and they are hoping that the babe has it too so, we will have to wait and see! Here we have the apples again…Whilst we were taking the piccies little baby Barton was very active and already practising for his/her first photo shoot. There are sooo many beautiful images from the shoot that I cant possiby post them all, this is a eenny teeny weeny little selection, Lucy & Matt I hope you like what I have chosen for you to share with family and friends 🙂When Lucy & Matt arrived the first thing I asked them to do was write down a little secret message to each other from the heart that neither of them could see, until now…
This is Matt’s to Lucy, how sweet! This is a very important picture of Lucy’s brother ‘Tony’ sadly Tony died when he was only 16 years old, just tragic! Lucy was only 3 months old at the time! I remember capturing a photograph of him on her wedding day for inclusion into their wedding album. She says ” he is and always will be my Guardian Angel and now he is going to be my babies Guardian Angel too” just beautiful!
He would have been 44 years old now and I am sure he would have been thrilled about the new addition to the family. His piccie will sit in baby Barton’s nursery looking over him.Having been very lucky and having 3 boys of my own I remember how important all the little things are so I asked Lucy to bring first vests, first toy, first bibs etc. etc. What goes around comes around so, Matt this one I took for you so that you can remember how at 30 weeks pregers your wife can look so beautifully stunning !Lucy’s message to Matt…from the heart! This is the blue version but we also have it in pink and white…Matt & Lucy want to wait for the surprise! From seeds to apples…How glamorous and totally relaxed they look, it was great fun and a pleasure being allowed to capture their closeness and love of what is yet to come…
Their greatest adventure yet!
Thanks you for trusting me to capture these very precious memories…captured for eternity! We both wish you a life filled with love and happiness for you and your little apple 🙂 xxx
