Jade & Michael’s Spectacular ‘Confetti Box’ Day At Gorton Monastery, Manchester.
Finally after 18 months of waiting Jade & Michael’s big day finally arrives…
It’s always great to work at new wedding venue and Jade and Michael’s venue was no exception. I was so looking forward to capturing their wedding at Gorton Monastery, this is a relatively new wedding venue situated in Manchester. It was here that Jade’s sister Emma got married 2 years previously and this was also when Jade fell in love with the venue & after working there on Saturday I can totally understand why.
It could take me a whole week to tell you about it but I think I’ll let the images do the talking 😉
A great big CONGRATULATIONS to a lovely couple xxx
Jade works in a family run bridal shop called ‘Confetti Box’ in Manchester. They stock wonderful designer gowns including the one that Jade chose by ‘Midgley at Maggie Sottero’, can you imagine girls having the pick of any dress your heart desired? talk about having died and gone to heaven! Needless to say Jade chose a stunning white ruffled dress for the day with a ruffle detail over one shoulder from this designer to walk down the aisle to meet her gorgeous future hubby Michael. She wore her hair down and swept to one side with soft curls tumbling over one shoulder Jade then complemented her look with a stunning cathedral length veil to add even more drama and a vintage style side detailed hair accessory… just beautiful!Jade’s bridal flowers and venue dressing were done by the fabulous Mat, Jane & and all the wonderful team from ‘Red Floral’ to say what they had all produced was breath-taking is just an understatement even the Royal wedding paled in comparison! Jades full length bouquet consisted of two parts so that it could be used in two ways either as a posy or a dramatic full length bouquet, I have never seen anything so unusual in all my years as a photographer. Red Floral are one of my favourite florists because the wedding flowers feature heavily throughout my bespoke album designs, it’s a match made in heaven! The cake was a spectacular 6 foot tiered creation, this cake definitely lived up to its creators name! It was commissioned from no other than… did you guess it? The BigWedding Cake Company, it just needed a couple of doors on it and you could live in it after the wedding day lol . This too was dressed by Red Floral and his amazing team with flowers cascading all the way from the top to bottom, it was a visual feast. On the day we worked alongside Mike & Rich from Reel Vision, two of the nicest guys you could wish to meet and one of our favourite movie makers. It was great catching up with them again and we know that whatever they will produce for Jade and Michael will be outstanding! After the ceremony and photographs the champagne flowed freely and a spectacular seven course wedding breakfast commenced, presented by Chapman Holmes. David was our duty manager for the day…I have worked with them many times and their food is always delicious, fit for a queen!
It was a day filled with wonderful entertainment throughout the whole of the day. Jade & Michael had thought of everything to entertain their guests from the string quartet right through to the fireworks finale .
It was a fab day to capture from start to finish and I was exhausted by the end of the evening, I think it was because I was running on pure adrenalin all day long making sure that nothing at all was missed from this spectacular day! Luckily for me Shaun also covered this day with me because Maria (mum of the bride) booked both our diary dates for it 18 months ago. I already cannot wait to work there again.
It could take me a whole week to tell you about it but I think I’ll let the images do the talking 😉
A great big CONGRATULATIONS to a lovely couple xx
